From architect student to full blown chef. Let me unfold my story…
As I started as an architect student, I had a parttime job at a restaurant in the kitchen. As I sporadically skipped school to pursue my career in the kitchen, my mother knew something else was brewing. I have invested my time and effort to become a chef and with 12 years of experience I am now a renowned chef in my hometown Rotterdam. However, something was still missing for me: “this is when I (Jona) explored the world of catering and left my job. There I could learn, share ideas, chat directly with my customers, get feedback on the job and enhance my craft.” I also specialize in working at festivals and bespoke dinner events.
Now, I added one more catering style, pop-ups, and that is catering deliciously prepared dinners as my current pop-up on 17 and 18 December.

Story of mums
I lived in Eritrea from 1996 to 2000 and I will never forget how my mother spent eight hours in the kitchen, three times a week preparing a traditional meal. I still reminisce until these days today about how it made me feel. When I wanted to help my mother or was alone in the corner just watching after a game of football. If I could describe this in one world – Joyful.

A couple of months before the wedding we had a meeting about the menu and he was already full of creativity and made extraordinary and original choices such as combining a parsnip mousse with a creamy brownie as a dessert. Besides his creative ingredients and ideas, the plates speak for themselves like beautiful paintings. He is a real gentleman with golden hands and if you want to elevate your event he is the guy to go to!
